Niantic acquired this eight-building portfolio on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, all built around 1900, with 80% of the units rent-regulated and the other 20% free market units. Niantic renovated units as they became vacant, adding bedrooms where possible, and renting to young professionals and Columbia students. New, four-bedroom units were developed in previously unoccupied basement spaces in two of the buildings to add value.
