THOMAS L. BRODIE
Tom is a Founding Partner of Niantic Partners and has more than 35 years of experience in real estate investment, development, financing and operations on both public and private platforms.
Prior to forming Niantic, Tom was President, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Investment Officer and a member of the Board of Trustees of The Town and Country Trust, an NYSE-traded real estate investment trust. Tom participated in the company’s IPO; the acquisition of 22 properties comprising more than 6,000 multifamily units; the redevelopment of 16 communities with more than 5,000 units; and the placement of debt and equity financings aggregating more than $1.3 billion. At the time of its sale, the company had a total market capitalization of approximately $2.0 billion, annual revenue of $135 million and more than 400 employees.
Tom started his career in investment and asset management positions at Lazard Realty, Inc., the real estate investment and development subsidiary of Lazard Frères & Co. Tom also participated in advisory assignments for Lazard corporate clients.
Tom has a BS from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
